Tavola takes the staple boxy pullover and adds to it the joy of color and texture. Its silhouette remains simple to provide an ample canvas for graphic “striping” that is both intriguing and satisfying to work. Alternating between two colors every other row while alternating between blocks of knits and purls across the rows creates a visual effect rather like brickwork. This motif is carried through the sleeves, while the hems, cuffs, and upper chest remain in a single color for a color blocked effect. Exposed seams at the shoulders complement the piece’s architectural flair. Choose either complementary or contrasting hues of Arbor for a one-of-a-kind garment to see you through the seasons.

Construction

Back and front are worked flat in pieces from the bottom up. Neck and shoulders are shaped with Short Rows: German Method. Shoulders are joined using Joinery Bind Off. Sleeves are picked up from armholes and worked flat to the cuffs. Collar is picked up and worked circularly after garment assembly.
