Inspired by an unusual vintage design from the 1930s the Tea Rose Slip On is knitted in one piece, starting at the back hem, casting on for the dropped sleeves, working in two halves to form the neck opening and then reversing the shaping for the front. The sleeves are then picked up and knit flat along the edge of the dropped shoulder.

Unlike the original vintage pattern, this modernised version comes in 6 sizes and has updated suggestions for yarn requirements to make vintage knitting more accessible for the modern knitter.

The blouse is designed to be worn with 4-6 inches of negative ease. If you are between sizes I suggest sizing up.

The yoke features a dropped stitch or openwork pattern, created by wrapping the yarn twice around the needle to create a long stitch.

The blouse is knit in Super Bulky weight yarn.

Tension is given at 9 stitches and 12 rows to 4”(10cm).

Please note only the smallest size has been tested. Feedback for larger sizes very welcome. Please message me on Ravelry if you have any suggestions, thank you!
