Originally inspired by the textured lace of my JORIS sweater, TEARS transforms the same stitch pattern into a versatile accessory that is as beautiful as it is wearable.

Knitted from one side to the other, TEARS combines delicate ribs with airy lace to create a fully reversible fabric that looks equally beautiful on both sides. Depending on your choice of yarn, the design takes on a completely different personality—from an elegant summer shawl to a cozy winter scarf.

But TEARS doesn’t stop there.

Besides wearing it as a shawl or scarf, I especially love styling it as a knitted hip scarf. Wrapped around the waist, it adds a modern, feminine touch to dresses, linen trousers, or your favorite jeans.

The pattern is easily adjustable. Simply repeat the main pattern section to create a longer and wider shawl while making the most of your yarn.
