Teddy Baby Blanket
The Teddy Baby Blanket is worked from bottom up in one piece. The applied double-face knitting technique creates two sides of the knitwork by using two strands of yarn in different colors (= main color for the front and main color for the back) at the same time. Both sides are held together on the edge by working crossed-over edge-stitches. The applied Italian cast-on and bind-off techniques create clean and flexible edges.
Size:
The finished baby blanket measures approx. 65 cm (25,5 inches respectively) in widths and 68 cm (27 inches respectively) in lengths (after blocking). These measurements can vary slightly depending on how tight or loose you knit.
Swatch/Knitting Tension
20 stitches in widths and 25 rows in height using a 3,5 mm (US 4, GWR 10) knitting needle and stockinette stitch = 10 cm x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches respectively, after blocking).
