Teddy Bomber Jacket
This cozy oversize jacket is inspired by a classic short fur coat, and with our amazingly soft and fluffy Teddy Dear we can almost promise that you can knit your own “fur coat”. The buttonless seamless top-down jacket is worked entirely in knit stitch with no finishing.
Sizes: Small one-size (Large one-size)
Bust circumference: Min. 150 (165) cm.
Hem circumference: Approx. 130 (140) cm.
Length: Approx. 55 (60) cm.
Short sleeve length from underarm: Approx. 36 (38) cm.
Long sleeve length from underarm: Approx. 44 (46) cm.
Yarn quality:
Gepard Teddy Dear (60% merino wool, mulesing free, 40% alpaca superfine, 50 g = 75 m).
Red version with long sleeves is shown with Teddy Dear color 330 bright red.
Brown version with short sleeves is shown with Teddy Dear fv 164 brandy.
Yardage:
Teddy Dear, balls of 50 g:
S/short sleeve: 11 balls
S/long sleeve: 12 balls
L/short sleeve: 13 balls
L/long sleeve: 14 balls
Needles & Notions:
Circular needles in Japanese Koshitsu bamboo from Seeknit and Gepard in the following sizes: 4 mm, 6 mm and 6.5 mm (60/80 cm) and 6 mm (40 cm) for sleeves.
1 closed stitch marker (BOR) and 2 locking stitch markers (MK).
Optionally a crochet hook for picking up stitches.
Gauge:
12 sts and 12 ridges (ie. 24 rows) = 10 x 10 cm in garter stitch with 1 strand of Teddy Dear on 6 mm needles.
Tip: Transfer your stitches onto a thinner needle and count your stitches while they are on the needle.
Adjust needle size if necessary.
