This pattern is a guide to adding crochet trims to tee shirts, especially old tee shirts that are still good and can be upcycled in a new garment so as to extend the wear.

The tee shirt tunic can be worn as a skirt, and the tunic can become a dress if your tee shirt is long enough or if you want to make the trim longer.

I designed this for Fashion Revolution Week.

Approximately 3 out of ever 5 garments produced are either incinerated or sent to land fill within a year of manufacture. Statistics such as this shocked me, and some years ago I decided to see if the remade could be well made. I now upccycle charity shop buys using my own designed patterns (or other) which I share on my blog www.upsew.ie
