My 13 year old daughter wanted to learn to knit her first shawl. The Teenager Triangle was the ideal project to start her off.

She learned how to increase, make eyelets, work on her tension with garter stitch and how to bind off. Lots of good, basic knitting skills. It was a joy to see her enthusiasm in knitting something she can wear.

It can be made using a worsted weight or DK yarn with the appropriate needle size. Please note that Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable yarn previously had 280 yards per ball. It is now manufactured with 270 yards per ball.

Just continue with more repeats of the pattern to make the shawl larger. Gauge is not too important for this project.

This pattern would be ideal for charity or prayer shawls.
