This gnome pattern can be worked up with any size yarn. The gnome depicted uses DK wool yarn but I have also used other sizes and anything but Bulky and up will work well! For the beard, you will want a boucle yarn to give it extra fluff. I recommend Drops Alpaca Boucle, but any will do!

Given that this is a plush pattern, gauge is not really that important. Make the gnome your own and choose whatever colors speak to you. This project is great to use up those scraps of yarn leftover from other!
