A one-skein triangular shawl inspired by my maternal Welsh grandmother, who always liked her shoulders covered. Tegwan is simple and comforting in shape, with a quiet lace column rising up the centre of the fabric, decorative but restrained, like a familiar garment worn often and well.

SUGGESTED YARN:
Isager Alpaca 2, colour 3, 50% merino lambswool, 50% baby alpaca. Light Fingering yarn weight. 270 yards / 250 meters per 50g skein. Approx use for Tegwan Shawl = 540 yards / 500 meters.

NEEDLES: Long circular needles. 3.5mm / US 4.

NOTIONS: 2 Stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

GAUGE AFTER WASHING AND BLOCKING: 21.5 Sts x 41 rows = 4” x 4” / 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette using 3.5mm / US 4 sized needles

SIZE: Longest side = 69” / 175cm.
The two shorter sides = 39” / 99cm. each .
Top to bottom through centre = 18.5
