A temperature scarf is a year long project during which you work one row per day. The daily temperature of a specified location determines that day’s colour based on a pre-determined colour chart. This process creates a beautifully colourful scarf that is meant to be oversized. This scarf is worked flat and is then seamed into a tube, while the ends are scrunched up and finished with a pompom.

This two-in-one pattern provides both an easy-to-follow pattern to creating your very own unique temperature scarf and the exact colours, temperature range, and row colours (complete with a check-list) used to create the 2020 edition of my temperature scarf.

Knitting skills required: K, P, Mattress Stitch Seaming.

Customize your blanket with different colours to create a project that fits in with your surroundings.

If you are using this pattern as a guide but creating a scarf for a different year and/or a different location/climat, please keep in mind that the amount of yardage/skeins you will need in each colour will vary, perhaps greatly. In that case, I recommend buying one skein of each colour to start and purchasing more as needed.
