Straight knitting needles, size 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
29” Length circular knitting needle, size 6
St marker

GAUGE
20 sts = 4”; 28 rows = 4” in St st on size 8 needles
25 sts = 4” in Porcupine St on size 8 needles
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE

PORCUPINE STITCH (Multiple of 12 sts + 4) 9 rows
Note: Due to the odd number of rows, rows which were RS rows on one repeat will be WS rows on the next.

Shrug right and left sides are worked separately. Sew center back seam (after binding off) or use Kitchener stitch off live stitches. Fold and sew edges. Work edging in ribbing on circular needle to finish.
