Ten Mile is an asymmetrical triangle shawl. It is knit in Dk weight on US 7 needles. Perfect in any natural fibre, the sample was knit in a cotton blend of recycled yarns. With a combination of textural stitches and simple lace eyelets, this shawl is never boring to knit but perfect for intrepid beginners. The garter edge is flexible and a perfect finish.

Inspiration for this shawl came from my town, Ten Mile in Tennessee. Ten Mile is a lovely country area with long roads that ramble through fields of cows. The textural stitches remind me of those road markings and fence lines. The eyelets are the open expanses of fields nestled in the mountains.
