Tendril Leaves
This pattern includes written instructions for working individual motifs (either bottom-up or in the round from the center), as well as for making a full blanket worked continuously (checkerboard-style arrangement) - either in the round or from the bottom up. Using the instructions for the blanket, you can easily make a scarf or shawl as well.
In the blanket version, the motifs are not made separately and joined afterward - instead, you crochet the entire piece as one continuous fabric.
You can choose any shape or size for your blanket - square or rectangular, as large or small as you like.
I know how hard it can be to stop crocheting in the round just because a motif is finished. That’s why I designed this pattern to let you keep going for as long as you wish - helping you create a blanket that’s exactly the size and shape you need.
The layout is based on a checkerboard-style arrangement of motifs. In the continuous version, the motifs are joined through the design, with the pattern naturally flowing from one motif to the next. This transition is subtle but, in my opinion, adds a unique charm. For this reason, a blanket made from separate motifs will have a slightly different look than one crocheted in a single piece.
