This little cardigan is the perfect layering piece for spring and summer, the ideal combination with floral dresses, high-waisted skirts and denims.
The Tendrila Cardigan was designed with the summery yarn MAIS (“Corn“ in German) in mind; Pascuali Filati Naturali developed this yarn as an vegan alternative for summer knitting and it has a beautiful drape and cool feel.

This open-front edge cardigan is worked bottom-up in reversed stockinette stitch in one piece, with the textured leaf motif for the front bands worked as you go. Shoulders are shaped with short rows and joined with a 3-needle bind-off. The front band is continued and later joined with a 3-needle bind-off at the center back and sewn with mattress stitch to the back neck. Finally, you pick up stitches for the sleeves and work them in the round, ending with a twisted rib cuff.

The pattern is tech edited by amelia woollenwords and testknitted by some talented knitters.

Needles: Circular needles to obtain gauge: one larger (recommended 4,0 mm (US 6)) and one smaller (recommended 3,5mm (US 4) with a length at least of 60 cm (24 inches) for working the body, and longer if using magic loop for sleeves)
Optional: double-pointed needles in both sizes (if you don’t want to work the sleeves with the magic loop method)

Gauge: 25 sts / 35 rows = 10x10cm (4x4 inches) in (reversed) stockinette stitch with larger needle
35 sts / 35 rows = 10x10cm (4x4 inches) in tendril motif stitch pattern with larger needle

Dieser hübsche kleine Cardigan ist das perfekte Jäckchen für Übergang und Sommer und lässt sich toll zu luftigen Kleidchen und hochgeschnittenen Jeans kombinieren. Der TENDRILA Cardigan wurde für das sommerliche Garn MAIS designed, welches von Pascuali Filati Naturali als vegane Garn entwickelt wurde und sowohl kühlende als auch wärmende Eigenschaften und ein schönes plastisches Maschenbild besitzt.

Der offen getragenen Cardigan wird in einem Stück von unten nach oben glatt links gearbeitet, das Rankenmotiv wird als Bund und als vordere Blende gearbeitet. Ab den Armlöcher werden Vorder- und Rückenteile separat weitergearbeitet. Die Schultern werden durch verkürzte Reihen geformt und mit der 3-Nadel-Technik zusammengefügt. Die Frontblende wird über die Schultern hinaus gearbeitet, im hinteren Nacken geschlossen. Als letztes werden Ärmelmaschen aufgenommen und die Ärmel in Runden gearbeitet.
