The Tenley designer knitting pattern is worked bottom up using the helical knitting technique. It is knitted in the round with 1-row stripes in each of 2 colors. There are no floats or jogs between rows. And only the starting and ending yarn tails are worked in upon completion. There is no shaping for the crown, the final edge is sewn to close the crown and create a beautiful design feature on the top of the hat.
