The rich, earthy tones of this shawl worked in alternating sections of wide and narrow stripes, made me think of bountiful farm fields planted in neat and tidy rows. Since the Latin root word, “terr”, means earth, land, or ground, Terra seemed to be a fitting name for this shawl.

The Terra Shawl is constructed in 3 parts utilizing Tunisian Simple Stitch. In Part 1, a small triangle is made. Part 2 builds up off of one side of this triangle. Part 3 builds up off of the edge that joins Parts 1 & 2.
