The Tesserae Shawl is a textured crochet shawl pattern that keeps your stitches interesting from start to finish. The shawl is worked sideways, increasing gradually to form a triangular shape with a large wingspan that drapes comfortably around the shoulders or wraps easily as a scarf. The colorwork is simple and worked row by row, making this design approachable for adventurous beginners while still enjoyable and satisfying for more seasoned crocheters.

Finished shawl measures 71” wide x 21” tall from at widest point.

You’ll need 3 skeins of fingering weight yarn. This design is especially perfect for showcasing two complementary colors using approximately 680 yards of the main color, and 345 yards of the contrasting color.

The pattern includes written directions as well as a chart of stitch counts for keeping track of your progress.
