This square was originally designed for the Unraveled Mitten’s 2023 Blanket Crochet-Along. I liked the square so much, that I made it into a dishcloth, too.

It uses a very simply C2C technique that incorporates popcorn stitches for texture, as well as an easy border that uses only single crochet and back post single crochet.

The green and white square in the pictures is the 12” x 12” square for the blanket CAL. The off white, grey and pink square is an 8” x 8” dishcloth.

If you’d like to make the dishcloth, you’ll need a US size F / 3.5 mm crochet hook and just under 100 yds of Scheepjes Catona yarn (or any other 100% cotton fingering weight yarn). It follows the pattern for the blanket square, but uses a smaller hook and a lighter yarn.

The pattern is available for free to view on my website. There is also a video tutorial to help you along, if needed. This pattern has been tested.
