Pattern Notes

This cowl is worked from the top down, using two strands of yarn. It begins as a triangular shawl, with 4 incs on each RS row. It is then worked in the round with front increases only to create a flattering and cosy shaped cowl. The border is worked in two colours with slipped stitches for added texture. The final border is squishy garter stitch.

If you want to create a ‘jogless join’ in the garter stitch panel at the back when working in the round, slip the first stitch of every odd rnd (purl rnd) with the yarn in front. This is option so is not written into the pattern below or included on the chart.
