I have adapted the Virus or German Shell stitch to include texture for this pattern, it is worked in rounds with dc, fpdc and bpdc stitches to create added texture to the pattern.

The pattern explains the first 2 repeats and where to continue to grow your blanket to your desired size.
Approximately 150g of double knit yarn with a 5mm hook will create a blanket approximatly 25” square

The pattern also explains how to add, remove or change placement of the textured sections so that you can adapt to your preferences.
