Where the sea becomes lace.

Thalassane is a crescent-shaped shawl inspired by the depths of the sea. It grows gradually through a series of textured sections that evoke a descent beneath the surface: calm water, bubbles, woven currents, and finally, an ocean floor unfolding into lace.

The shawl is worked in one piece using fingering-weight yarn. Textures, slipped stitches, eyelets, and lace give each section its own character and create a varied, engaging knitting experience.

Thalassane can be worked in one color or two. For a two-color version, choose closely related shades that blend harmoniously to preserve the shawl’s visual continuity.

Thalassane est un châle en croissant inspiré des profondeurs marines. Il se construit progressivement, au fil de sections aux textures variées qui évoquent une descente sous la surface : eau calme, bulles, courants tissés et, enfin, un fond marin qui se déploie en dentelle.

Le châle est tricoté d’un seul tenant, en fil fingering. Les textures, les mailles glissées, les jours et la dentelle rythment le tricot et donnent à chaque section son caractère propre.

Thalassane peut être tricoté dans une seule couleur ou dans deux coloris. Pour une version à deux couleurs, choisissez des teintes proches qui se fondent harmonieusement afin de préserver la continuité visuelle du châle.
