Always fascinated with geometry and angles, I designed this poncho using two right triangles connected with a panel of bias knitting. The pattern is named for Thales of Miletus, the Greek mathematician credited as being the father of geometry.

The pattern includes a link to a private youtube channel where you can watch video tutorials on the techniques used in the pattern.

This was the 2019 “LYS Tour” pattern for All Wound Up Yarn Shop. All Wound Up Yarn Shop also has kits available for this project.

If you received a free printed handout, please note that the cumulus color in the sample is actually ONYX, not silver as stated

Thales can be worn a variety of ways, simply by turning the poncho around.
