Quick to crochet in worsted weight yarn, this cute hat with its pumpkin leaf and vine curls transforms anyone, young or old, into a pumpkin!

Instructions for 7 sizes are included, from Preemie to Adult, as well as how to change the pattern to make an Apple Hat. There are 3 leaf patterns you can choose from; the leaves can either be sewn on, or just tied onto the Stem using the vine curls.

There is a Bonus pattern for a Newborn Cocoon, too! As I don’t have a nearby baby to use as a model, my resident young Bear shows you how cute & cozy your little Newborn will be in the Cocoon--but he has a very large head and had to wear the Toddler size hat! His smaller friend models a Preemie hat.

One skein of Supersaver Solids will easily make a Newborn Hat & Cocoon set (approx. 150g); or it will make several hats--I made a Youth, Toddler, 6 Month, Newborn, and Preemie from a skein!

I’ve also made these hats in soft, 100% handpainted merino yarn--you can choose any “worsted weight” or aran yarn to make these hats.
