To celebrate one of my favorite holidays, I have designed a pair of socks that are inspired by this season. Each detail in the pattern draws on the elements of the holiday: Colorwork pattern features pumpkins and acorns, bobbles represent walnuts, textured lace is reminiscent of the turkey feathers. Corrugated Ribbing adds another beautiful detail to this design. Designed to use 50g of main Color and 3 mini skeins, this pattern is great for using your leftover sock yarns.

Level: Intermediate
Time: 4-6 hours
Sizes: 64 (72) st circumference, to fit 8.5 (9.5) foot circumference

Materials:

  • US size 1 (2.25 mm) and US size 2 (2.75 mm) needles.

  • Fingering weight yarn, in: MC - Purple ~ 50g; CC1 - Cream ~ 20g; CC2 - Brown ~ 10g; CC4 - Orange ~ 10g.

  • Tapestry needle, Scissors, stitch marker.

Gauge
8.5 sts x 10 Rnds = 1”x 1” or 34 sts x 40 Rnds = 4” x 4” in Colorwork in the round on larger size needles.

Tips:
Don’t forget to use the larger needle size when working the Corrugated Rib and Colorwork pattern. This will compensate for the gauge difference, and prevent tightness in the Colorwork section, as well as give extra elasticity to the Corrugated Rib.
