The Ade beanie is a super fun, easy pattern, ideal for anyone ranging from beginners, to more experienced knitters. Made using some super chunky weight yarn, this beanie works up really quickly and can be made in just a few hours.

The name “Ade” (pronounced Ah.Day), is a traditional Yoruba word which translates to “crown” or “royalty”, and was inspired by the crown like effect created by the combination of textures in this design.

The techniques involved in the making of this hat include: working in the round, the knit stitch, purl stitch, simple decrease, and working with the magic loop technique / double pointed needles to shape the crown.

This pattern is available in an adult size only and fits the average adult sized head.
