This Alyssa Cable hat is actually the revised version to the original that was made more for kids 5-12 years old (approx. 18’-20” around). This version, however, allows the same hat for average to larger heads with a circumference of 21”-23” around.
You will use two different hooks. The smaller is for the brim and the larger for the body.

I used I Love This Yarn in the color “cranberry” for the hat in this picture, but I used Mainstays yarn in the video tutorial.

As far as the amount of yarn needed, I started out with a brand new full skein, and because of the cables, you will use approx. 3/4 of the skein of yarn. I didn’t measure this hat or weight this hat after making it. I would start with a new skein.

The yarn I used was a 4 worsted weight.
