The Anneliese Beanie is special to me - it’s named for my daughter. This is my first super bulky beanie design, and I am sure it won’t be my last! It works up lightning quick and the fit is stellar. It looks fantastic in Wool Ease Thick & Quick, Hometown USA, Big Twist Natural Blend, Malabrigo Rasta, and Indie Hand-Dyed yarns.

A NOTE ABOUT MALABRIGO RASTA (or any 90 yard or smaller skein), I strongly encourage you to have two skeins. This beanie can be made with one 90 yard skein, but JUST barely! Weigh your skein before beginning to be sure you have a minimum of 150 grams. If you are shorted a little wieight/yardage (which happens some times), you’ll not have enough to finish. You’ll also need to ensure you use a tight tension - which will result in a very fitted beanie. I have even included a second decrease section that uses a bit less yarn than the original decreases to help squeeze this beanie out of a single 90 yard skein. In short - it can be done, but I strongly recommend you have two skeins! You can always use the leftover to make a matching child or toddler sized beanie!

The pattern has been updated to include sizes Newborn through Adult! I hope you enjoy it!
