This beautiful shawl is named for our family’s historical homestead! It is light and airy for late spring through summer and into early fall!

It is a beginner-level symmetrical shawl (using basic increases and decreases, m1k, m1p, yo) that can be made any size! It is knitted sideways, so that the maker can ensure it is any size they desire!

About 400 yds of worsted weight yarn will create a shawl that is 2’ tall with a 6’ wingspan. A child’s size shawl would use considerably less, while you could easily use more to make a lovely oversized wrap! While worsted weight yarn is recommended, any yarn and needles combination can be used to make this design!

This pattern has been tested for clarity and beginner-friendliness. It is a quick and mindless knit once you get the hang of the repeats. Blocking is not required but it will definitely help to open your eyelets.
