If you love playing with different colors of yarn, this is the shawl for you! Even if you’re a bit timid about mixing colors, this is also the shawl for you, I promise. Why not give it a try? It’s a great way to use those fingering weight minis or leftovers from another project you may have hanging around. (If you’re anything like me, you probably have lots to choose from) Or, maybe treat yourself to some new mini skeins - Emma’s Yarn and many other dyers have some great colors to inspire you.

How does it work? Pick twelve different colors of fingering weight yarn that are pleasing to you - and to each other. The colors will “melt” into one another rather than just fade. Then, choose color #13 for a great color pop. It can be as bold or subtle as you choose…

Knitted with a BAKER’S DOZEN (13 different colors) of fingering weight yarn, this design contains enough repetition - lots of garter stitches - for you to relax into, with enough detail to keep it interesting. The shape of this shawl is a triangle, with a gently curving top edge that hugs your neck beautifully. At the the bind-off, edge there are magically 5 long points that make it fun to wrap, drape and wear many different ways.
