The Balaclava - leaf design
The Balaclava – Leaf Design is a slightly oversized, seamless balaclava featuring a leaf-inspired pattern along the sides.
The balaclava is worked in the round from the neck up, beginning with a structured 2x2 ribbed neck for comfort and fit. The work is then opened to shape the face opening and continued flat while working the leaf pattern along the sides. The hood is shaped using short-row decreases, creating a soft and natural fit. Finally, stitches are picked up around the face opening and worked in rib to form a clean double edge, which is joined to the cast-on edge and bound off together.
This listing includes a 5-page PDF knitting pattern (including the cover page) with written instructions and charts, designed for knitters with basic to intermediate skills.
