“The Bear Hood”

I wanted to create a warm thick and chunky hood that’s perfect for winter and snuggling into with its fur edge.

Its created on circular and straight needles but being on bulky yarn it makes a good starting point for someone wanting to have a go at working in the round without it being socks and fiddly needles!

I have used commercial yarn for this piece but of course it would look amazing in bulky hand dyed yarn as well.

The inspiration has been from the wilds of Scotland and its weather and the thought of warm brown bears!

The sizing of the hood is adult, but could easily be reduced in stitches to make one for a bear cub if you wished.
