This shawl is a celebration of bees and a reminder to care for them and the environment in which they play their important role. Whether you plant a native garden, become a beekeeper, or just buy local honey, please don’t harm bees, and please do your best to look after their (and our) environment.

The Bee Queen shawl is a lacy crescent designed for two colours of fingering weight (4ply) yarn. It features stripes of garter stitch separated by simple cable lace reminiscent of the cell structure of honeycomb and ends with a parade of lace bees with stingers pollinated by picot points.

The pattern is written and includes charts and stitch counts as well as yarn usage information.

Errata: The highlighted repeat for the final lace chart should be 6 sts not 9. The written instructions are correct.
