The Bee's Knees
Comprised of slip stitches and garter rows, the shape of this shawl is dictated by the simple increases along the edges and a central double decrease that forms a rib up the center.
Slipped stitches, or mosaic knitting as it is commonly called, is very easy and adds a seemingly complex element to any design. I’ve used it in 2 different ways in this shawl, showing how versatile the technique can be.
And since one section always reminds me of honeycombs, I patterned the other area to resemble bee hives, thus the name -
The Bee’s Knees!
