The Blooming Buds Sweater is simple in essence, with stockinette building up the body and sleeves. The raglan gives the sweater a clean design, while the sleeves add some fun and joy to this piece and are the main focal point of the sweater. Although this can be knit in any yarn of choice, the Petite Wool in Marshmallow by We Are Knitters makes a perfect fit for this playful piece.

You will need to know how to cast on using the long-tail cast on method, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, the bobble stitch, the dandelion stitch, increasing, and decreasing stitches. The pattern contains additional info on how to make these stitches and contains references to youtube videos in order to get you started.

The eye catcher on this pattern are the sleeves. This pattern requires some experience: The sleeve is knit in what I refer to as the Blooming Bud Pattern. This is the stitch with the dandelion and the bobble. The pattern for this stitch is explained step by step, stitch by stitch. However, once you start forming the raglan, you will need to increase and decrease stitches, and factor these in when knitting the Blooming Bud pattern.
