The Blueberry Swirl Scarf is a collaboration with the Swedish Yarn brand Falkgarn and is inspired by the blueberry forest outside my house on an island in the Stockholm archipelago.

This scarf is the illustration of one of my favourite things in the world - a walk in the woods. As I live (almost) in the middle of a forest - we actually have a blueberry patch right next to our entrance. However, this one symbolises the walk in the woods we take to pick all the berries we need for the winter.

The v stitches in the scarf symbolises the trees, the puffs is the oh so sweet blueberries and the double crochet line that runs through it is the path you follow while picking.

In the alternative version; I’ve also added our house (the starting v shape) and the little golden spot - the blueberry paradise - where most is to be found in the end of the trail.

I hope you will enjoy my little walk through the blueberry forrest of Ornö.

Please use the hashtag #blueberryswirlscarf so I can see your beautiful make.

Love,
Tess

Ps. It’s written in US-terms with charts to go with it.
