The Bonsai Beanie is a fun cabled hat that fits most adults and teens. The twisting and curving cables (reminiscent of the branches and roots of a bonsai tree) look tricky but are actually not very difficult to knit up. This hat pattern also includes a chart for the cable design, if that is easier to follow.

This hat is knit holding 2 strands of sport weight yarn, or 1 strand of worsted weight yarn.
I used approximately 375 yards of sport weight yarn, held double, so you would need approximately 188 yard of worsted weight yarn to knit this hat.
