The BUNNET_floppy
This pattern creates a beanie with Bunny ears without requiring additional sewing at the end of the project.
CONSTRUCTION
This hat is knitted from the brim up. Size can be adjusted by changing yarn and needle gauge.
After the body of the hat is knitted, the ear stitches are held separate 4-6 per ear per row on BINDER RINGS which is not a typical knitting tool. This will cause the number of stitches on the working needles to decrease as you prepare to make the ears.
The Ears are worked one at a time. The crown is worked last.
Optional lining is knitted from picked up stitches from the original cast on.
Works up pretty fast. I can typically make a hat in 2-3 days due to the size of the ears.
I use a variety of yarn options:
• Worsted
• DK held Double
• Sport/Fine held Triple or 4 strands
Yardage varies depending on yarn choice.
