To use a cable needle or not to use a cable needle – that’s no longer a question with this scarf! The Cable-Me-Not Scarf looks like it has cables, but no cable needles are needed. ‘Cables’ are done using right crosses, yarn overs and decreases. This makes the scarf a relatively easy and quick knit – perfect to have on-hand for gift-giving to males or females.

The knitting skill level is intermediate and above. Knowledge of yarn overs, decreases, right crosses (or twists), and purling through the back loop is necessary. The pattern is both written and charted for easy interpretation; and a link to an instructional video on right crosses is included. Choose a nice worsted, Aran or bulky weight yarn to knit this scarf up in no time without using a single cable needle! For matching accessories, watch for other patterns to come soon!
