This versatile hat has just enough slouch to be pulled down a bit for that trendy look, but easily stands on its own as a traditional beanie for those who prefer something sportier. It knits up quickly in the round using size 9 (5.5 mm) and size 10 (6.00 mm) circular needles and about 118 yards of aran weight yarn, and is suitable for intermediate knitters. It is finished with a faux fur pompom that you can purchase at your local craft stores, but a traditional yarn pompom substitutes just as well. The openwork adds to the charm and makes the hat interesting to knit, and even more of a season spanner that you’ll enjoy through early spring. This slouchy beanie is a great look for younger women and teens, but is also sophisticated enough for the trendiest moms.

Work one up this weekend, to keep or to give. :)
