This feminine little capelet is just the thing to throw over your shoulders on a cool evening. Each row of the pattern is spelled out for you for ease and accuracy in working the design. The gauge is 4 ½ sts = 1” on a size 7 needle with DK yarn.

If you enjoy the challenge of intricate lacy stitchwork, you will love this design. You will need to be familiar with the long-tail cast-on, knitting, purling, working yarn overs and decreases, and some crochet. Follow the stitch-by-stitch, row-by-row instructions, and you should have no problem.

There is one set of directions. To make a smaller or larger capelet, simply adjust your gauge by choosing different yarn, different size needles, or both. Here is what you will need:

Materials: approximately 600 yds DK yarn OR 450 yds DK plus 150 yds contrasting yarn for edging

Needles: 29” circular size 7
crochet hook size D
8 stitch markers (M)
