About the pattern
The cathedral window socks are toe up colour work socks, based on the windows of a gothic church. It is an intermediate pattern with an easy to remember colour work pattern.
There are different options to make the sock fit better. These options can be found in the extra document. None of these options are needed.

There are some calculations needed to make this pattern. This is for the length of the foot; there are things in place to guide you in determining your perfect length.

There is also a section with more difficult calculations if you want a certain number of windows, or if a full window repeat on the leg will be too long, but the top ends up too small or not quite perfect.

Size
There are 5 sizes. 1 (2) 3 (4) 5
Circumstances :
21 (24) 27 (30) 33 cm/8.25 (9.5) 10.5 (11.75) 13 in

the rest of the measurement are not predetermined.

Finding your size: measure around the front of the foot just behind the toes and around the heel and instep. Take the biggest one and match it with a circumference that fits the best for you.
I would recommend an ease of 0 or a small negative ease. The sock will not really stretch due to the colour work. If you are in between sizes, go with the size that fits closed.
