After finding the hidden entrance to the chamber in the girl’s bathroom (in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets), Harry, Ron, and Professor Lockhart are separated. When Harry finds himself face-to-face with a large round door adorned with snakes, he uses Parseltongue to open it. Each snake pulls back one at a time, and the door swings open. The effect, surprisingly, is not computer-generated: Engineers created an actual moving door with independently moving snakes.

Designed for a slouchy fit, this hat features a simple off-center stranded colorwork and duplicate stitched chart motif inspired by the sinister entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. Beginning with a corrugated rib brim, the hat is worked in the round from the bottom up, with a simple spiral crown decrease to top everything off.

Hat needs 1 hank of both colors.
