This is a simple yet elegant shawl. It has the name, Champagne Shawl, because of the luxury yarns used to make it. I cannot recommend these yarn enough -- you will love every stitch and want to cuddle up into the shawl!! That said, any worsted weight yarn will work if you do not feel like (or cannot) shell out $250 for a shawl!

The shawl is knit from the top down. It is easily made bigger or smaller by adding or subtracting sections. Each section is increased by 4 rows. The design is a large, roomy, generous shawl. If you are petite, you may want to take off one section.

The Kid Paillettes is held double for the ruffle. This yarn is considered worsted weight so if you are replacing it with a kid seta lace weight, hold 4 strands together.

Have fun with it! It is a pretty quick knit (until the ruffle…) and would make a great gift -- to self or a loved one.
