The Church Shawl came to life as I was knitting this project in church every Sunday. One Sunday my Father-in-law implied that I was not paying attention to our pastor, in which I replied that knitting is a gift from God and I was certain that He loves seeing me use my talent in His house - I have never had another comment about knitting in church! LOL

This simple, beginner friendly pattern can be made for any size and any age, because you knit until you are ready to bind off. Guage is not necessary. We use this pattern in our brick and mortar store as a first project with our beginning knitters.

I will suggest that if you are going to use the I-cord bind-off as I have done, make sure that you will have enough yarn in reserves.
