2: ^K2tog K2 KRL K2 repeat from ^ to last St then K1

4: K1 ^K2 KRL K2 K2tog repeat from ^ to end of row

KRL: knit into stitch below next stitch and into the next stitch (1 stitch increase)*

Description:
A claw-style hand covering with thumb and index finger tips exposed for touch uses and a warm mitten for the remaining fingers. Herringbone patterns cuff adds design interest.

Size:
Fits a medium size hand. I am working on a pattern that includes small, medium, and large sizes.

Customizable:
Optionally, change the design by altering cuff length, continuing patterns longer, working mitt decreases slower or faster, etc.

Materials needed:
Medium weight yarn, 1 skein
US 6 / 4.5mm double pointed needles
US 4 / 3.5mm double pointed needles
2 stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Waste yarn or 2 stitch holders

Abbreviation used:
K: knit
P: purl
ST: stich/es
K#: knit that many stitches
P#: purl that many stitches
PM: place marker
SM: slip marker
RM: remove marker
K2tog: knit 2 stitches together
Kbl2tog: knit 2 stitches together in back loops
M1: make a new St in the loop between last St worked and the next St
KRL: knit into stitch below next stitch and into the next stitch (1 stitch increase)
