I have always had passion for the sea, particularly for the amazing colours found under the surface. The coral reefs in different parts of the world are astonishing, and in some cases, endangered. This has moved me to my latest creation - crescent shaped shawl The Coral Way.

 This shawl is worked from top down starting with a classic garter tab. The feature of The Coral Way shawl are the rhythmic lace motives combined with two-textures Reverse Stockinette and Sculptural stitches on the shawl’s panels. This shawl offers a wide range of options that allow you to vary not only the size of the finished product, but also individually select a colour combination for decorative stripes in rows on the body section (rows with “nupps” on the edging section) without violating the main shawl pattern. Thus, using leftover yarn of different colours in certain stitch patterns, you can create your own shawl design.

 This shawl looks great in both solid or gradient colour light fingering, fingering and lace weight yarns.

 Lace can be knit from charts or written instructions. Youtube video for the less common stitches are included.

 Sample 1 shawl shown on the file was knit with Invictus Yarn, Fingering - 100% Silk; 438yards (400m)|100 grams; colour blue. Decorative stripes are worked using additional yarns, Fingering – 131yards (120m)|30 grams: four rows and BO row was knit with two strands (one strand of each yarn) held together: Lurex & cotton blend and Alize Mohair; colour blue-grey; and six rows was knit with 100% Silk; colour light blue.
 Decorative “Polka Dot” nupps (110 nupps) are worked using additional Laceweight yarn - 65yards (60m)|6 grams; Alize Mohair, in contrasting colour: turquoise; this additional strand is optional.
 Yardage used for Sample 1 shawl: 634 yards (580 m).

Я всегда любила море, особенно потрясающе яркие цвета подводного мира. Удивительной красоты коралловые рифы можно встретить в разных частях мира, и некоторые из них находятся под угрозой исчезновения, что и послужило стимулом для создания этого дизайна – полукруглой шали «Коралловый путь».

 Эта шаль вяжется сверху вниз, с классическим наборным краем «ленточка». Особенностью шали «Коралловый путь» являются повторяющиеся ажурные мотивы в сочетании с изнаночной гладью и рельефными узорами. Данное описание предоставляет широкий спектр вариантов, что позволит вам изменить не только размер готового изделия, но и по своему вкусу скомбинировать цвета при вязании декоративных полос (ряды с «шишечками» в кайме), не нарушая при этом общего дизайна. Таким образом, используя остатки пряжи разных цветов в определенных узорах, вы можете создать индивидуальное и неповторимое изделие.

 Для данной шали подойдет как однотонная, так и градиентная пряжа толщиной от 400 до 1000 м на 100г.

 Узоры можно вязать по схемам или по словесному описанию. В инструкцию включены варианты размещения бисера/ или шишечек и Youtube видео по вязанию декоративных петель.
