The Creation of Adam
This pattern is going to come with a few disclaimers, and it may not be a very typical pattern. This tapestry is created using a grid and I have included two versions, one that is numbered so you can “crochet by number” and one that is plain so you can just see the grid as is.
DISCLAIMERS AND NOTES:
This is an advanced pattern that uses approximately 20 different colors, some are spliced so you may have to cut 2 lengths of different yarn, divide into two strands, combine colors, and crochet with this new spliced color to get the exact shade. If you can find a color that is the exact shade without splicing, please do so, but that is how I did this pattern.
I did not, in fact, keep track of my yarn usage for this tapestry. I am pretty bad about that, but this can be used for a stash buster project if you have a ton of skin-tone yarns. I did end up buying a few colors from the brand Skein Tones because they had exactly the colors I needed for the skin tones of the hands of Adam and God.
The hex codes to all the colors used are included in this pattern so you can color match as best as you can. I used Lion Brand’s Pound of Love in the shade Sugar Cookie for the background because it was a perfect match and I suggest using that color. You will be using a lot of Sugar Cookie in this so you won’t have a massive amount left over.
