Worked in the round, this cotton top makes a simple, summer knitting project. It’s a classic design, with an easy knit, purl stitch pattern. The four row stitch pattern is written and charted for ease of use. Optional waist shaping instructions are included for those who would like a more figure hugging fit. The edges are trimmed with simple garter stitch bands.

The size numbers are the finished measurement of each garment. Make sure the size chosen includes the appropriate amount of ease for your personal preferences. A minimum of 2 inches
(5 cm) is recommended. To verify, measure an existing garment in a similar weight for comparison. The garment photographed is a size 38.5 inch (98 cm) and is shown on a size 36 inch (91.5 cm) mannequin.

The top is worked in the round, from the bottom up on circular needles in one piece. The sleeves are worked separately. All pieces are joined and garment yoke is worked seamlessly to the neckline. Markers indicate the position of the garment front, back and sleeves.
