A PDF crochet pattern for a poseable dragon/wyvern. Designed to have as few joins as possible. The pattern is written in English and uses US crochet terminology.

SIZE
Approximately 36cm/14in tall

SKILL LEVEL
Experienced. This is a high difficulty pattern. The pattern is recommended for those that know how to crochet in a spiral and in rows and who know how to make chains, single crochets, and decreases (sc2tog). The pattern does require crocheting around a chain—a link to a photo tutorial is included in the pattern.

The pattern is extensive. There are 12 sections, 54 pages, and 137 instructional photos. Advice and support can be provided through email.

MATERIALS
Hook 2.0mm
Yarn, Sport weight/5 ply

  • Colour1 (maincolour), ~680m/744yd
  • Colour2 (hornsandjaw), small amount
  • Colour3 (tongue), small amount
  • White (fangs), small amount 
 Felt for the eyes
  • Small amount of yellow
  • Small amount of black 
 Sharp needle and sewing thread (black, yellow) to attach eyes (alternatively, use fabric glue) 
 Small amount of white sewing thread for eye highlights 
 Polyester filling 
 Scissors 
 Pins 
 A yarn or darners needle for joining (recommended: darners, 1/5) 
 Galvanised stranded clothesline/guy wire, ~3.36mm/0.13in diameter 
 Tape measure 
 Wire cutters 
 Pliers 
 Duct tape
