Inspired by the haunting folklore of a young boy sent beneath Richmond Castle to uncover a hidden tunnel, this pouch is more than a keepsake—it’s your companion on a timeless journey.

Richmond Castle is situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. The castle has watched over its town for nearly a thousand years. Among its oldest tales is that of the drummer boy—sent into the depths beneath the castle, his steady beat echoing through the cobbled streets and wooded paths, guiding soldiers toward Easby Abbey. Some say he vanished into a secret chamber, joining the slumbering knights of King Arthur, waiting for England’s darkest hour.

The pouch features the silhouette of the drummer boy in mid-march. As you turn the pouch in your hand, the boy appears to walk.

Whether tucked into your pack or held close, this pouch invites you to walk alongside the boy on his path.
